"Going into the air academy I came in with one expectation and idea of where I would be when graduation day rolled around. Well I felt differently two weeks into the program. I found a new passion in the the industry. Mrs. Westfall was a great coach she kept you laughing even when your brain hurt. My dream job came to me last week and I had to call her and tell her I got Corporate. I was hired with Carlson Wagonlit. She became my mirror of success. Mrs. Westfall had all the same experiences as the students were going through, she was a former student once. Im now working in my own office, desk, computer, and name plate, the great thing is that I know all the nights of stress of IAA homework was worth it. I really miss my friends at the air academy we still keep in touch via myspace. Everyone is having a great time with their new careers! "

About International Air and Hospitality Academy

International Air and Hospitality Academy’s main school and corporate headquarters are located in Vancouver, Washington, just 12 minutes from Portland International Airport. The 15,000 square-foot facility accommodates up to 120 new students each month with a maximum enrollment capacity of 420 students.

Our computer reservations lab is equipped with Apollo FocalPoint computers, which provide our students with real-time information off United Airlines' Apollo Computer Reservations System (CRS) network. An in-house telephone system is used for simulated training in telephone sales and computerized reservations.

Our keyboarding lab contains 30 Internet-accessible workstations for skill building and writing resumes and cover letters. The satellite campus of International Air and Hospitality Academy is located within the beautiful, 366-acre Vancouver National Historic Reserve.

The Hospitality Management classrooms are located on the lower floors of the newly restored Red Cross Building. This building accommodates up to 30 new students each quarter with a maximum enrollment of 120 students. It contains four classrooms with audio/visual equipment.

Northwest Culinary Institute, a division of International Air and Hospitality Academy, courses are taught in a fully equipped culinary kitchen in the Mess Hall Building. This facility has been designed to accommodate up to 60 new students each quarter with a maximum enrollment of 240 students. This building contains audio/visual equipment along with the necessary professional culinary equipment, such as ovens, convection ovens, a flat top, gas stove, charbroiler, tilting skillet, steam jacketed kettle, steam table and other kitchen equipment.

International Air and Hospitality Academy maintains working businesses at the Vancouver National Historic Reserve where students gain hands-on experience. Students in the Culinary Arts program will prepare meals in the academy's restaurant and will cater for private parties held at the event hall.

With the increased need for renewable energy, and in turn, the need for qualified technicians, the Academy has expanded yet again. In July of 2009, Northwest Renewable Energy Institute was born. This new campus is located about a quarter mile south of the main campus and can start 48 new students per month.
