I am the Lead Instructor at the Academy and have been teaching for just over 10 years. I started my career in the travel industry at Noland Decoto Flying Service after attending a travel school in Yakima, Washington. After about 6 months I became a cross-utilized agent with Mesa Airlines/United Express, I then transferred to the Portland International Airport where I transitioned to SkyWest/United Express. I was fortunate enough to fill a variety of positions within airport operations as well as becoming a Customer Service Supervisor. I have also had the pleasure of being a Corporate Travel Agent. I look forward to teaching and sharing my expertise to help others excel in the airline and travel industries.
My whole life I dreamed of being a flight attendant so after college, I got the opportunity to fly with JetBlue Airways for 6 ½ years before I decided to move back to Vancouver, Washington to be with my family. Once I moved back, I started working for the International Air and Hospitality Academy where I have been teaching for over six years. I took a two-year break from teaching to become a corporate flight attendant with Intel. While working at Intel, I realized my love of teaching and back to the academy I went.
I have extensive experience in the airline industry and worked as a flight attendant at Horizon Air for more than 16 years. I firmly believe that your success is my success.
